Deltek Concludes Second Annual EMEA Customer Conference

New customer win announcements and customer case studies highlight the event

LONDON, UK – 26 November 2009 – Deltek, Inc. (Nasdaq: PROJ), the leading provider of enterprise applications software for project-focused organisations, recently concluded its second annual EMEA customer conference at The British Museum in London. The event was created as a forum for Deltek’s EMEA customers to collaborate with each other and learn best practices for managing their project-focused businesses. Over 80 customer attendees joined Deltek executives at the conference to discuss industry trends and hear about the future product directions for Deltek’s industry-leading Vision and Enterprise Project Management solutions.

The conference included presentations from Deltek executives, product workshops from Deltek consultants, and two customer case study presentations. The first case study was delivered by Thierry Chappé, Business Project Manager from Schlumberger Water & Carbon. Mr Chappé provided an overview of the project methodology Schlumberger applied during the implementation of Deltek Vision to manage the water and carbon parts of its business. Schlumberger acquired Deltek Vision immediately following the 2008 EMEA Customer Conference and is now using Vision to manage its business. The other case study was delivered by Paul Denholm, Earned Value Manager for the Aircraft Carrier Alliance programme. Mr Denholm provided a unique insight into the programme, demonstrating how the alliance between BAE Systems, Babcock and Thales uses Deltek Cobra to manage project performance through earned value management.

The strong attendance at the event by Deltek customers underscores the significant momentum that Deltek is generating in the EMEA marketplace. At the conference, Deltek announced that it has increased its customer base by approximately 30% in the EMEA region since the inaugural event in 2008. One of the signature new wins announced was WSP Environmental & Energy – the fastest growing part of WSP Group PLC. WSP E&E chose Deltek’s Vision solution to displace existing disparate solutions to support the rapid growth of its business. Deltek also announced that Goba (Pty) Limited recently selected Deltek Vision to replace its existing business management solutions. Goba (Pty) Limited is an independent, progressive South African Consulting Engineering firm, which offers multidisciplinary services in civil, mechanical, electrical and mining infrastructure engineering and project management packaged to meet each client's project requirements.

In addition to the customer announcements, Deltek also provided an update on its Vision and Enterprise Project Management product suites, key solutions that form the foundation of Deltek’s offering to the EMEA marketplace.

“The second annual Deltek European customer conference provided our growing list of customers and partners with a forum to collaborate and exchange insights on industry trends, while participating in a comprehensive conference programme to benefit their own usage of Deltek software,” said Carolyn Parent, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Deltek. “We were extremely pleased with the progress we have made in the EMEA marketplace since our inaugural event last year and look forward to continuing to expand our presence in EMEA in 2010.”
